that if the county does not go along with locations selected by the Postal Service, the post office might be moved to Culpeper County. However, apparently no one with property in Culpeper County applied this time when the Postal Service asked for ntfw bids.
The application the planners turned down last Wednesday, which the Board of Zoning Appeals will consider this Thursday night, seems to be the only proposal the Postal Service received this time.
The current Amissville Post Office has only 640 square feet and no modern loading dock. The Postal Service wants a 2,756 square foot building with expansion capabilities, a loading dock and more parking space. 1
