Burton Orange
Mr. Burton Larue Orange, 89, of Woodville died Monday, Aug. 26 at the Culpeper Health Care Center.
He was bom March 19, 1907.
He was a retired railroad C&O for 25 years.
He was predeceased in death by his father, Janies Emmett Orange; his mother, Effie Clapsaddle Orange and his wife, Hazel Orange.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Jo Roberts of Mt. Airy, N.C., Mrs. Sandra Goins of Laurel Fork, Va. and Mrs. Betty Jenkins of Stanley; one son, James Robert “Jim” Orange of Woodville; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Catherine Gay of Roanoke.
He was also predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Orange and Lacey Orange and a sister, Margaret Gay.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Woodville Baptist Church with the Rev. Starke Jones officiating.
Interment followed at the Woodville Cemetery.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
