I SAT Scores
‘ Finally there is good news on the test score front. Rappahannock ounty High School seniors last year beat out seniors from the pubc schools in surrounding counties on SAT tests, r 11 is n°t possible to prove that RCHS students beat all the stusnts in surrounding counties because Page County did not release s scores. However, it is reasonable to assume that if they had been sry good, they would have been released. For those who believe that these results were the work of one utstanding member of the Class of 1996, not so. RCHS scores still eat those from area public schools if Jim Clark’s 1570 on the test * left out. Although SAT scores have been popular with those trying to lalyze the results of late 20th century education, they are not really very useful tool. They reflect too closely the socioeconomic status f the parents of the students who select themselves to become part f the $ample. Rappahannock citizens look forward to seeing equally good isultsrjon all measures of school success. In the meantime they will Jce good news wherever they find it. \
