Some of the scores earned by stu-' dents in the Rappahannock County Public Schools are excellent and truly praiseworthy. Although some scores need improvement, most are very good to average.
Congratulations must be offered to the RCHS students, teachers, and parents upon the results of the 1996 administration of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The SAT is the most widely-used college admissions test. The test is used by college admissions officers to help predict college success. Many colleges and universities set minimal SAT levels for acceptance.
Rappahannock’s 1996 average SAT test results compared extremely favorably to other public schools in the surrounding areas and non-public schools in our county.
Another point of interest is, that out of 70 students in the graduating class of 1996, 50 students, or 72 percent, have enrolled in colleges and universities. Seventy-two percent going on to higher education is high
