Clearly, history won’t be the only thing being made at the tournament — fishermen (and women) who’ve known of the reservoir’s forbidden bounty will be making away with full creels of fish — and fortune, too, for the big prize winners. Cash and prizes will be awarded each day.
Tournament entry tickets cost $25 per day (sales limited to 125 anglers per day) and will become available August 20 at five locations in Fauquier County: Rankins Sporting Goods, KMart, Clark Guns, Radio Shack and Rhode’s Drug Store. Official rules will be provided at ticket sale locations. Smart anglers won’t delay or expect to enter the day of the tournament. Tickets will sell out quickly. Shoreline fishing only.
