The project is part of the National Park Foundation’s Easy Access Park Challenge program which acts as the catalyst for organized volunteers to help the National Park Service upgrade and improve the parks.
“Novice hikers, families with strollers, and people with mobility limitatioris now have further access to explore Shenandoah National Park,” said Supt. Wade. “We invite everyone to join us to dedicate this trail and celebrate the inspiration, spirit of service and support shown by all who contributed to this project.”
