The 40th Annual House Tour and Dried Flower Sale, presented by the Episcopal Churchwomen • of Bromfield Parish, will be held this Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20. On each day, following the tour, an afternoon tea will be served at Fairlea Farm Bed and Breakfast.
Following the tour and sale visitors are invited to enjoy an afternoon tear at Fairlea Bed and Breakfast, one of Rappahannock's most charming B & Bs. Located on Mt. Salem Avenue, Fairlea is surrounded by a working sheep and cattle farm, and is just a short walk from the center of historic Washington.
Built 36 years ago by Rayner and I Lois Snead, the fieldstone home exudes the type of character one would expect only from a much older county home. Cradled by fields and meadows that roll north to the base of the Blue Ridge mountains, Fairlea offers visitors and guests some of the most romantic views in Rappahannock County. The home's interior is adorned with a warm collection of oriental mgs and family heirloom antiques.
