Walter Swierczek
Walter Lawrence Swierczek, 76, of Boston, died on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was bom Oct. 9, 1920, in Fulton, New York, to the late Joseph and Ewa Swierczek.
He was a member of the Foreign Service Association where he retired with the Department of State.
Mr. Swierczek was a veteran of World War II serving with the 401st Bombardment Group (H).
Survivors include three sons, John Walter Swierczek of Boston, Mark Lawrence Swierczek of Lexington Park, Md. and Robert Michael Swierczek of Reston. and one daughter, Lynn Margaret Swierczek of Alexandria.
He is also survived by two sisters, Theresa Swierczek and Mildred Swierczek, both of Fulton, New York.
Mr. Swierczek was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Wacker Swierczek, one sister, Mary Hogan and one brother, Edward Swierczek.
A funeral service in the Swierczek family cemetery will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 1290 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.

Alice Peyton
Alice Menefee Peyton, 81, of Culpeper, died on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Culpeper Health Care Center. . She was bom in Rappahannock County, on August 14, 1915. - She was retired from. Southern Garment and also worked as a CNA at Sunset Haven Nursing Home for many years.
She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Her parents were the late Charlie and Missouri Clark Menefee. ’
Her husband was the late Henry Milton Peyton.
Survivors include one son, Henry Milton Peyton Jr. of Falls Church; one sister, Ella Mae Menefee of Culpeper; two brothers, Laney Menefee of Culpeper and Isaac Menefee of Boston; two grandchildren; one greatgrandson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 13 at Clore-Geest Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway in Culpeper, with the Rev. Tom Wiles officiating.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
