Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory, Joseph and Jennifer returned to their home on Castleton Ford Road on Sunday after a ten-day trip to Florida. While there they vacationed in Orlando, Kissimee, Edgewater and Daytona Beach. With the storm it was raining several days but then clearing up so they could visit attractions and Mr. Peregory and son Joseph got in several days of golf. En route home they spent Saturday night in Fayettsville, North Carolina.
Mr. arid Mrs. Buddy Grigsby, Chrissy, Kevin and Jason returned home Sunday after spending several days with Mrs. Grigsby's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Deane in Fayettsville, North Carolina.
Our condolences are sent out to Mr. Isaac Menefee and his family upon the passing of his sister, Mrs. Alice Menefee Peyton whose death occurred last Wednesday at Culpeper Health Care Center where she had been a resident. •' Sympathy also to the family of young, 12 year old Jamie Atkins who was fatally injured in an auto accident in Front Royal last week.
Very happy birthday wishes go out to Mrs. Mabel Webb down Castleton Way who will celebrate her day on Tuesday, the 22nd and belated wishes to Margie Bowles whose day was Friday and Ann Bowles, who added another year on Saturday.
Mr. Shelvy Frazier is improving after being ill last week.
In observance of National Fire Prevention week, the Salem Volunteer Fire and Rescue held their open house on Sunday afternoon. John Triplett and friends and the Hazel River Trio, furnished live entertainment.
This Saturday, Oct. 19th from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. there will be a spaghetti dinner — all you can eat for the price of $6 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12 years of age and younger children eating free. So come out for a good meal and support this worthy cause.
Mr. and Mrs. Waverly Frazier had their children and families home with them on Sunday.
