Having them here is as much a treat for us, as it is for them."
Just up the street from Fairlea, finishing touches are being put on the dried flower arrangements that will be offered for sale during this year's House Tour. The Parish Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church is bursting with arrangements ranging from the petite to sizes ideal for a large dining room centerpiece. The beauty and quality of these pieces reflect the talent and experience of the artisans who have made them. Many have been designing arrangements for most of the tour's 40 years.
The arrangements will be offered for sale beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Visitors interested in buying dried flower arrangements are encouraged to visit the Parish Hall early, as the arrangements tend to sell quickly.
Prices begin at $2 for pillbox sized creations, with a large number of displays being offered in the $30 to $40 range. The arrangements offer an outstanding value for visitors interested in accenting their home with a piece of hand-crafted elegance.
House tour hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Afternoon tea will be served at Fairlea from 2-5 p.m. on both days. Tea is included in the $10 ticket price. Tickets may be purchased at each of the tour homes or at the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church.
