Hikes Scheduled
Hike tp Bull Run Mountain on Saturday, Oct. 20' from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will also be a Moonlight Hike up Old Rag on Saturday, Oct. 26. Meet at 5 p.m. at Mountainside Market and 5:45 p.m. at Old Rag parking lot. Approximately return by midnight. Call 987-9061 for more information.
Sports/Celebrity A uction Set
Boy Scout Troop 200 will be hosting their second auction of sports/celebrity memerobilia (autographed and not autographed) on Saturday, Oct. 26. The auction will be held at the Flint Hill Fire Hall from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission cost is $2 per person. Admission includes stadium fare foods such as hotdogs, nuts, crackerjacks, and soda. This will be the first event in the newly refurbished fire hall.
CCLC After School Club
The Child Care and Learning Center's After School Club is expanding to include 12 additional children ages 5-13 years. Applications and information are available at CCLC from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or call Kim or Rose Ann at 675-3237. Some scholarship funds are available to help with tuition.
Fun Fair at RCES
There will be a Halloween Fun Fair, haunted house and refreshments at the Rappahannock County Elementary School from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. "Come one, come all, lots of fun for ihe entire family,” said an organizer. For additional information or any questions call Cecelia > Dennis at 547-3476.
Benefit Dance Set
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance from 9 to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 19 at the fire hall. Southern Persuasion will be the group performing. Proper dress code required (skirts must have collars) and you must be 21 years of age to attend. For more information call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
Raffle Tickets Available
A NASCAR raffle to benefit The Flint Volunteer Fire Department is currently underway. The Daytona 500 package includes five nights stay for two with Oceanfront hotel on Daytona Beach and $600 cash for travel. The donation is $10 per ticket and only 1,000 will be sold. Drawing •• will be December 21, 1996 for the February trip. Tickets may be purchased from any fire department member or by calling Connie HuffHarris at 675-3389.
Fall Soccer Clinic
All soccer players are invited to Rappahannock County Elementary School for the Fall Soccer Clinic to be run by Soccer Academy on Saturday, October 26. For information call Richard Price at 987-9428.
; s Country Ham Dinner
There will be a fried country ham dinner on Saturday, October 19, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Jeffersonton Community Center. The dinner also includes gravy, biscuits, potatoes, green beans, home fried apples and a dessert. Prices are $6.95 for adult, $3.95 for child, and $2.50 for child hotdog dinner. As well as helping our Center, 50 percent of the proceeds will go to the Little Fork Volunteer Fire Department.
