Beware
Of the HCI
To the Editor:
President Bill Clinton has helped make thousands of Republicans rich. In fact, Bill Clinton has spawned a mushrooming and profitable cottage industry run by Republicans for Republicans that must be one of America's fastest growing business segments. And the Republicans hate him for it.
I'm talking, of course, about the HCI — the Hate Clinton Industry. Republicans all over the country are willing to believe anything unfavorable about Clinton — whether it has to do with his finances, his personal life, his family, or his former business partners. The HCI .feeds them what they want to hear, no matter how untrue, incredible, or scandalous it may be. And they want you to believe it, too.
Nothing can be proved because the truth is not in them, but to read what the HCI says you would think at best that Clinton is an adulterer, and at worst he is a murderer. If there is anything unfavorable that can be invented about Clinton, the HCI will try it.
If anything, it shows how desperate the Republicans are, as Clinton’s double digit lead grows.
As you read these accusations and half truths, decide for yourself. Remember who is saying them and for what purpose. And don't expect the HCI to go away after the election. The HCI likes making money. Bill Clinton will be president for four more years. The HCI will surely try to cash in on it.
