Congratulations to the Rappahannock News and Cindy Mahan for the excellent article on the Inn at Little Washington ("Inn Cookbook Debuts at Gala Party in D.C.," Wednesday, November 13).
So often, because one grows accustomed to their presence we take giants in our midst for granted, while those far distant hold them in awe. Patrick O'Connell and Reinhardt Lynch are giants in their Fields; they are to the restaurant and culinary arts world as Cal Ripken is to the baseball world, or Michael Jordan is to basketball. Out of nothing they have created, through raw talent, a love of their art and the sweat of their brow a great ongoing work of art which the Rappahannock article so well noted has achieved
