The roster for the Junior Panther basketball team includes 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This year's players include Mark Wharton, Marc Russell, Chris Fletcher, Matt Corbin, Kirk Davis, Osha Berry, Drew Dennis, Zack Corbin, Ray Ramcharam, Jamie Keys, Ryan Brown and Gregg Jackson. Seven of the players are 8th graders.
Coach Reed Gillespie said that only three of his players had played before last year. "This will be an interesting year for us," he said, adding that his players are always enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working. "I think we have a bunch of good athletes," said the coach.
They will scrimmage in Warren County this Thursday against former Rappahannock teacher Dee VanHom's team. .»
