Kindergarten registration will soon be held in Rappahannock and Culpeper County Public Schools. If your child will be five years old by the end of September, he/she is eligible to enroll in school for the 1997-98 school year. Contact Rappahannock County Elementary School at 987-8259 to schedule an appointment for registration or information. All of Culpeper County’s elementary schools will encompass kindergarten through sixth grade in the fall of 1997. Contact the Culpeper Administrative Office at 8253677 if you are unsure of which school your child should attend and for kindergarten registration information.
Amissville Ruritans held a business meeting March 20 to discuss upcoming events which will include a joint auction to be held May 17 with the Rappahannock Athletic Association. The highlight of the meeting, however, was in the honoring of several members with pins for continuous perfect attendance. President Fred Naramore presented pins to Bill Segrest (11 years), Jerry Curtis (19 years), Edward Lawrence (35 years), Gilbert Lawrence (35 year), and Charlie Priest (35 years). Congratulations to each of you for your dedicated service to the Ruritans and your community!
