pay for services) is a great long-term goal, it will not help us this year. We’re going to have to chip in more if we want to provide our children with an adequate, much less an excellent, education. Furthermore, more is being asked of our students, by state mandates and local desire for improvement. Just as you wouldn’t ask a person who’s longest jump is five feet to now jump six feet without additional training, you can’t expect an increase in student performance without some additional resources. Let’s step up to the plate.
I urge you to get involved with this process. Public education needs our support. Talk with your school board member, with Superintendent Gangel and your supervisor. Let’s all look for ways to work together to provide a great future for our children.
