Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly announces that one of their seniors, Nikolai “Nick” Konick of Rock Mills, has been accepted at Columbia University in New York in their early admissions program. « ,
Mr. Konick is a National Merit; Scholarship Program Commended Student who has attended WCDS for 16 years. The Merit honor was earned for his scores on the qualifying tests in Advanced Placement European SHistory, (score of 5 on a 5-point stale); Advanced Placement United States Government (score of 5 on a 5-* point scale); and Advanced Placemen! United States History (score of 4 on $ 5-point scale). * ; t
During his Junior year Mr. Konick. ) earned a perfect score of 800 on the SAT 1 Verbal Test. For the 1995-96 school year, Nick served as Parliamentarian for the State’s Junibr' Classical League. He has also earned numerous awards for his academic skills and participation with the JCL.J
