Three churches in our area, namely Mt. Lebanon Baptist, Slate Mills Baptist and Hope Hill Baptists all held their Easter Sunrise Services and New Salem Baptist held their Cantata “He’s Still the Lamb” at their 11 a.m. services and I’m sure all these services were greatly enjoyed to all in attendance.
Miss Samantha Brown is to be congratulated upon being named a United States National Award winner in journalism. She is the daughter of Oliver Brown of Reva Way and Mrs, Martha Alderson of Charlottesville and is a senior at Albemarle High School.
Our deep sympathy goes out to Mr.- Charles R. Woodard and family upon thd loss of his mother, Mrs. Catherine Woodard, who passed away on Thursday. She was the widow of Harry Cumberland Woodard, Jr.
