Inspired by the hospice philosophy, Flint Hill resident Jane Livingston curated “Hospice: A Photographic Inquiry,” a critically acclaimed exhibit in which five accomplished artists document the experiences of hospice patients and their loved ones. The show opened in 1996 at The Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, D.C., then toured museums throughout the nation. Ms. Livingston will be on hand to discuss the inspiration behind the exhibit, and will donate a book from the show to the library’s collection.
As a companion to the exhibit, Home Box Office produced the documentary film “Letting Go: A Hospice Journey.” Excerpts from the film will be shown to illustrate points made by the panelists, and Hospice of the Rapidan will donate a videotape of the film to the library’s collection.
