The 4-H Cooking and Crafts Club made beautiful spring wreath under the leadership of Mrs. Judi Burke.
The 4-H Water Monitoring Project is “off and running”. Project books are being completed by 4-Her’s in our county and soon they will get their “feet wet” by testing and observing the water in streams in their area with the help of Hunt Harris.
The 4-H Rappahannock Livestock Club is very busy practicing identifying grains and cattle. This is a very strong group ready to represent Rappahannock County, very proudly, in every aspect of the livestock industry. We are very proud of them.
The 4-H Small Animal Club visited Ashtree Stables in Washington for an informative lesson on the care of horses.
The Child Care and Learning Center 4-H After school Club learned that March is Nutrition Month with the theme, “All Foods Can Fit.” We had a wonderful workshop presented by the “Washington Deli” with owner Carole Cornish. The 4-Hers learned how to make English Muffins in the microwave.
They really enjoyed tasting and learning how easy cooking good nutritious food really is. The 4-H program of Rappahannock County thanks all of the people, volunteer 4-H leaders and special project leaders for their help in teaching the young minds of our county and supporting the 4-H program.
Without these dedicated individuals giving their wisdom and understanding of young, learning minds, our programs could not be possible. Thank you for giving of your head, heart, hands and HELP to 4-H.
