Mr. McCarthy was recognized for all his hard work on behalf of the library. And, Robert Anderson was recognized for the volunteer work he has provided the library.
The Board also approved the use of the remaining memorial funds, $530, for the construction and purchase of a podium. The library has been using one belonging to the Episcopal Church and feels it’s about time they got their own. It will be equipped with a microphone, speakers, and a light.
Mr. Warner reported that the water cooler had been repaired for $153.
There was some discussion about the possibility of a mobile unit that would service outlying areas of the county. The Board members agreed to look into the idea and see if it was feasible and how it would work into the five-year plan.
