A decision was made to install a prefabricated wood truss roof with a metal covering at the July meeting of the Rappahannock School Board.
The roofs at both schools have been continual problems over the years and will continue to need attention according to a comprehensive assessment presented last winter by Ramcorp. It compared the roofs to patchwork quilts with some pieces needing replacement sootier than others.
Ramcorp mapped “the quilt” and recommended immediate removal and replacement of 7,000 square feet of the high school roof. For those who have not followed
