have the temporary school open by Sept. 8.

Many area residents spoke in favor of the application and of the school itself.

The commission approved the application for the temporary school with a limit of 30 students and the permanent school with a limit of 45 students, with VDOH and VDQT approval, building code compliance, down shield lighting and additional screening for exterior parking at the temporary facility. They will review the temporary site application in two years.

The applications will now go to the Board of Supervisors for consideration.

The commission also approved a request for rezoning by *' Mabel and John Pendleton of Flint Hill. They sought to rezone a property from agricultural to residential. The commission found that the request was compatible with the county comprehensive plan since the property is within the ultimate village area of Flint Hill.

An application to change the Belle Meade Bed and Breakfast to Belle Meade Country Inn and an application for Belle Meade School were tabled until next month because the site plan for the application was not received in time for the commissioners to review it thoroughly.

In old business the commission appointed members Mike Massie, Tom Junk and Susan Babcock to review the two proposals for changes to the Conservation Zoning Ordinance, one by the Planning Commission and the other by Mike Massie, and see if they can bring the two proposals closer together. They hope to get the proposal finished for final approval to the Board of Supervisors. The matter will be looked at next month.
