Did you know Woodrow Wilson raised $100,000 for the Red Cross during World War I by selling the wool of White House sheep? At the beginning of the war, the sheep were purchased to replace the gardeners who were drafted by the army.
Happy anniversary to my sister and brother-in-law, Lynette and Ralph Wells, who celebrated 27 years of wedded bliss on July 19th.
The Gum family were pleased to have Lynette, Ralph, their son, Buddy, his son, Peyton, and friend, Beth Sharade, as tired but happy weekend guests.
