• Try to save a few dollars on this proposal. One suggestion was that two walls with metal studs intended to stop drafts in case of fire be eliminated unless the building code requires them.
• Remove the old roofs and insulation and build a lower pitched (1 in 12) Galvalune roof with a simpler design that would not have the ridges and valleys the current proposal includes. This would increase the structural strength and save money. It would, however, take longer than the Aug. 25 deadline.
Board chair Dr. John Tole mentioned that if the completion date was not by Aug. 25, it would have to wait until next year. He regretted not starting earlier to explore the roofing possibilities.
