She showed a video called “Blueprint for Success” produced by the National Center for Non-Profit Organizations. It highlighted the benefits of a planning process including a mission statement, assessment of the community needs and finances, development of resources and a final evaluation.
Ms. Crocker suggested the board attend a Virginia School Boards Association workshop where they could brainstorm. “These are reportedly very good,” she said.
