Seedling sale
supports tree
conservation
The Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District, is kicking off its seventh annual conservation tree seedling sale by offering a larger variety of conservation plants than before. Also, something new this year, landowners who order trees or plants will be able to have their order shipped directly to them for the nursery in time of planting.
Selections this year include but are not limited to: White Flowering Dogwood, Red Bud, Old Fashion Lilac, White Pine and Blue Spruce. Other possible selections include Strawberry Plants, Wildflower seed, Mushrooms, bedding and border plants and tree protectors.
Profits from the annual sale help the District support its conservation efforts within the five member counties.
