Sherertz then answered a variety of questions put forth by the public in attendance.
• Paul Baldwin questioned how many deputies were on duty between 11:30 p.m. and midnight. Baldwin said that his store on U.S. 211 west of Washington was the last one to close, at midnight.
Sherertz replied that deputies were aware of the store closing, and patrolled at that time. Until midnight, the state police are used as backup, he said.
• Bernie Fiskin asked about patrolling for speeders through Flint Hill, and noncounty use of the dumpsters in Huntly.
Sherertz explained that more enforcement for speeding would come when three deputies return from the police acud -py in Mc*y As for the dumpster, Lt.Ray Jackson was patrolling it, with excellent results, according to the sheriff.
