• D.A.R.E./Field Day at RCES was a giant success last Friday. Thanks to the efforts of County DARE Officer, Captain Jeff Brown, the Sheriff’s Office, and a tremendous corps of volunteers, the event came off without a “visible” hitch.

• Many thanks to those who showed up at RCES on Sunday afternoon, May 23 to help set up for the K-5 grade Science Fairs. Giving up a Sunday afternoon is a lot to ask and we are very grateful to everyone who pitched in to help: Mrs. Molly Bailey, Mrs. Molly Hobson, Mr. Ronald Makela, Mrs. Karla Miller, Mrs. Kay Miller, Miss Sarah Switzer, Wayne Switzer, Raye Tupper, Miss Tupper and Mrs. Danette Williams.

• Some RCPS i bers and student be recovering from into the wee hours Relay for Life on night, May 21. It was ext to see so many folks from the community come together in such a positive way, and the school grounds provided a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone who attended. RCES principal, Mrs. Raye Tupper, spent the night as well and was available to answer any logistical questions involving the school facility. Thank you.
