Ned Glaser, Vice-President and General Manager of Roth Theaters and Enterprises will deliver the Commencement Address at Rappahannock County High School Friday evening, June 6. The topic of Mr. Glaser’s address is “You Are What You Want To be.” At an awards assembly held last week at Rappahannock County High School Wayne Deal received two awards in basketball; one for the most free throws and the other, the sportsmanship award given by the Rappahannock Lions Club. Bobby Settle was awarded the trophy for the most valuable player in basketball.
Maury Nichols of Sperryville received an athletic trophy from high school coach George Patterson at RCHS. Maury was voted the most valuable player in baseball this season. The baseball and basketball teams were honored last Wednesday with a banquet at Panorama. A spring music recital by piano students under the instruction of Mrs. Paul Nichols was held Sunday, June 1 with 27 pupils performing. The recital took place at the local elementary school. A house to house drive for funds for the Sperryville Ambulance Corps will be made June 14 and 15. The
