industries in our four county area. Before you throw away any old computers, I would like to ask any businesses and industries in the area to consider donating any 486 and/or Pentium computers to our program when they upgrade to the newest computer technology. Each computer will be stripped (and repaired if necessary by the students in the technology lab at GWC-PTEC). The recycled computers will then find a new home with a non-profit organization or with an individual with a special need.
Businesses and Industry have informed us that most all the work force today needs computer skills. Many of the individuals who were in the “Computers 4 Keeps” class wanted to learn basic skills and/or give their children an opportunity to have a computer in their home for personal use.
I sincerely hope that all business and industries in our own four county area, and the surrounding area, will help us make this a positive force in our community.
