The 4-H Share the Fun Talent Show 2000 was the best ever! It was an excellent evening of talent and entertainment held at the Rappahannock County High School.
Eighteen acts were performed and consisted of vocal, dance and instrumental pieces. Adult Volunteer Leader, Evelyn Oyster, directed the show. The emcees for the evening were Ruth Ann Oyster and David Massie.
Stage manager was Oliver Brass. Technical lighting was handled by Anne-Ashleigh Lamma and Mary Wagoner. Robin Oyster was in charge of sound, assisted by Bill Welch. Bill also took care of the refreshments.
Bob and Virginia Scott were the judges for the evening and Michael Besecker videotaped the performance.
The show was the great success it was because of these people who gave of their time and worked so hard.
Taylor Hitt, Cloverbud presenter, sang “I Will Be There for You” and received a Cloverbud participation ribbon.
Results of the competition are as follows: Senior vocal category: Jessica Manak, singing “Unchained Melody”, and Ruth Ann Oyster, singing “No Scrubs”, received blue ribbons. Mel Torrance received a red ribbon for her vocal presentation,
