The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad will hold its annual Miss Rappahannock Pageant on April 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Rehearsal will be held on April 9 at 2:30 p.m.
The pageant is open to all single female residents of Rappahannock, ages two to 19 in the following categories: Tiny Tot, Wee Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Little Mister, Sisters and Miss Rappahannock. There will also be a mother/daughter category. Admission is $5 for adults and children under ten will be $3.
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Norman, Neal Atkins, Richie Dwyer and Jimmy Dwyer attended the George Jones concert at JMU in Harrisonburg on Friday night.
Mrs. Myrtle Falls, Mrs. Mary Clarke and Mrs. Cecil Baldwin attended the Amissville Baptist Church on Sunday and enjoyed the country gospel singers Ron and Sharon Frazier.
