In the state of Virginia the Democratic Party chooses its presidential candidate differently form the Republican Party which holds a Primary. The Democrats have a Caucus/Convention system, and in Rappahannock the process begins today, Wednesday, April 5, with the appearance of a paid political ad announcing our Caucus.
The Rappahannock Democratic Caucus will be held on Monday, April 17 at The Theatre at Washington on Gay Street, Washington, starting at 7:30 p.m. This Caucus is the first step in a four step process which will culminate in Los Angeles in August with the election of the Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates.
