The Adult Seniors at Amissville Baptist had their monthly breakfast at The Country Cafe in Washington recently. In attendance were: Charlie and Gloria Mills, Vernon and Wanda DeLong, Carrington and Cathy Lou Smith, Thelma Martin and Vivian Yancey. I stopped in for a minute to get the scoop, and they all said the food was great.
On Saturday, April 8 from 5 to 8 p.m., the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be having a fried chicken dinner. Menu items include: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, com pudding, rolls and a variety of desserts (my favorite). Adults can eat for $8; children 5-10, for $5 and under four are free.
