Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly held its Primary and Grammar School Awards Ceremony and Closing Exercises on Friday, May 26. Along with the presentation of awards, seventh grade students were presented with the well deserved “Leaving Certificate", representing their | graduation from the WCDS Grammar School to ; the Prep School.
Wakefield Country Day School co-founder and | teacher Pamela Lynn-Tucker, along with 1 Headmaster Michael F. Vargo, presented Grammar School Leaving Certificates to Paul * Beattie of Woodville, Danielle Dombrowski, Jordan Hammelman, and James Nilan of * Warrenton, Jesse Ferreira, Erica Lacey Judd, Mary Sullivan and Alec Toth of Front Royal, Katherine Guiffre and Natalie Miller of Huntly, Aaron and Rachel Marx of Strasburg, Robert Rakaric of Luray and Briana Stone of BentonviUe.
During the ceremony, sixth grade students Laura Cooper, Michelle and Nicole Fegeas, || Lauren Guiffre, Caitlin Hammelman, Genie Knight, Allison Russo and Marissa Sullivan har- % • monized beautifully in a rendition of John Newton’s Hymn, “Amazing Grace", accompanied by Mrs. Bobbi Andes on piano. The ceremony was brought to a close, as was the academic year, by g the customary ringing of the bell by Headmaster Michael F. Vargo.
