Spring picnic
The Woodville community will hold its second annual spring picnic on Saturday, June 17. The fun and games start at 2 p.m. and the American barbecue begins at 5 p.m. Volleyball and horseshoes will be played all afternoon.
“Pickin’ party” style music will be played around a camp fire after dark. All residents and friends of Woodville are hereby cordially invited and urged to attend. Hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided. Attendees are requested to bring a side dish or drink to share.
Also bring your swim suits (children must be supervised by a parent), your instruments (don’t be shy), a blanket or lawn chair, and your smiles for a great afternoon of friendship and fun. The picnic will be held at Jim and Carolyn Marwaring’s beautiful pond site at the foot of Red Oak Mountain. From downtown Woodville, take Rudasill Mill Road (621 East) to the Five Forks Baptist Church; take a right onto Five Forks Road and follow the signs. For more information, please call the Manwarings at 987-8433 or the Lights at 987-9523. “Ya all come!”
