Mr. Ron Vickers, who coordinates the program, sees much promise in the concept. This year, the program started in the middle of the year, and much of its practical benefit this year has been as a trial run, a chance to get feedback to aid in the structuring of the program for upcoming years. The genius of this new program, Mr. Vickers feels, comes from the practical aspects. Rather than solving set textbook, classroom problems, the students are confronted by real problems in the real world. Hence, hopefully the students will get a better feel for the kinds of problems they will face in a professional environment. At the same time, the school gets the benefit of their expertise and labor.
