Local authors’
books on sale
Books by local authors and books about local subjects will be on sale in the Ki Theater as part of the July 4th celebration in Washington.
The books will be both fiction and non-fiction and will range from children’s books, such as the delightful “Captain Kate” by Carolyn Reeder, to “Culture Wars and the Global Village” by retired Ambassador Carl Coon, just released. The latter describes a new phase of cultural evolution comparable in importance to the dawn of the Neolithic era.
Local history, autobiographies, folklore, travel books, “how to” books and novels will be featured.
Donna Parson’s “The Days of Miss Julie”, a saga of a woman’s life from 1876 to 1947, demonstrates the power of love in individuals during and in spite of horrendous events in our national history.
Sarah Roach has written for those learning Latin, “Libellus Fabularum Latinarum,” meaning a little book of Latin stories.
Rayner and Lois Snead’s entertaining autobiographies will be included; as will a wide variety of other books. A number of the authors
