Vietnam veteran
John Baldwin Brown, 52, of Spotsylvania died Sunday, May 28 at his residence.
He was bom Sept. 21, 1947 in Charlottesville, a son of Frances Carder Brown of Culpeper and the late Baldwin Snell Brown.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church. He was a captain of the DC9 for Airborne Express.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two daughters, Jessica Lynn and Jennifer Frances Brown of Spotsylvania; three brothers, Todd W. Brown of Chester Gap, David T. Brown and Alan R. Brown of Culpeper and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, June 4 at the Culpeper Baptist Church with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery in Jeffersonton with honors provided by the Culpeper American Legion Post #330 and the V.F.W. Post #2524.
Pallbearers were his coworkers from Airborne Express, Ben Raugstad, Darryl Shewmaker, Dana Fulks, Hynson Cole Jr., Joseph Taylor, Bill Shiply, Jack Doyle and Jennifer Hinchcliffi
Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
