He was the husband of the late Edith Mae Woodward Cave.
Survivors include one son, Donald “Pete” Cave of Washington; three stepsons, Aubrey F. Foster of Tbwson, Md., William F. Foster and Jimmy D. Foster, both of Flint Hill; three daughters, Juanita Alther of Rixeyville, Brenda Duncan of Richmond and Wilma L. Darnell of Jeffersonton; two step-daughters, Arbelius Stringfellow of Culpeper and Marie Martin of Belair, Md.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, June 6 at Washington Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. John Burke officiating.
Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
