1998 Sauvignon Blanc won a Gold medal at the 18th annual Virginia Wine Competition.
“Sharp Rock Vineyards grows all its own grapes. We do almost all of the work by hand,” said David Armor. “By staying small, we can continue the quality product Rappahannock County is known for.”
Armor is especially proud of the Silver medal his Chardonnay Reserve was awarded. Many Virginia wineries produce excellent chardonnays. The competition in that category was stiff.
