However, they may be eligible for tax benefits, grants for restoration, and protections against unwelcome outside development. In addition, the speakers will address the use of "preservation tools" to improve communities, stimulate an area's economy, and control growth. Funding sources and outside support available to support local preservation and heritage programs will also be addressed.
The forum is open to the public. Anyone interested in community history, control of growth, preservation efforts, or capitalizing on our history to provide low impact economic benefit should plan on attending.
