• The Board heard from Dr. James Burns of the Virginia Department of Health on the threat of the West Nile Virus. He concluded that this mosquito borne encephalitis was unlikely to be a problem in Rappahannock, but he cautioned awareness and provided sources for additional information.
• Mr. Brian Duncan, Executive Director of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board provided the Supervisors with an update of CSB activities in' its service area, including Rappahannock County.
