Derby Day
fun for all

Pack 123 of the Shenrapawa District held its annual Pinewood Derby at the Washington Fire Hall on Saturday, Jan. 20. There was a total of 30 scout participants representing each of the five groups.
Excitement was high as the crowd watched the handmade wooden cars in an assortment of colors and styles zoom down the track. Congratulations to all of the boys for a job well done!
The following scouts will be representing their group at the district meet in March: Tigers: first place, K.T. Milam; second place, Sean Michael Knick; third place, Andrew Oyster; Wolves: first place, Greg Flournoy; second place, Christopher Cooper; third place, David Williams; Bears: first place Dustin Milam; second place, Christopher Lee; third place Austin Burnett; Weblos I: first place, Michael Landrum; second place, Samuel Brown; third place, D.J. Atkins; Weblos II: first place, Ben Pierson; second place, Tommy Shotwell; third place Charles Crawford.
Those who place in the final winners were: first place, Dustin Milam; second place, K.T. Milam; third place, Michael Landrum.
Not wanting the family members to be left out as this event becomes truly a family affair, it is tradition to have the Family Race as the grand finale. Family winners were: first, Aaron Oyster; second, Bryant Lee; third, Sheila Milam.
