Spring Celtic festival set
The Smokehouse Winery will host its annual "Imbolc Imbibing" event to celebrate the early spring Celtic festival Imbolc on Saturday, Feb 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18 from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Come take part and partake at the Celtic celebration Imbolc - the earliest beginnings of spring and a festival of light, warmth and fertility.
Enjoy a mead tasting with meads from throughout the country, live Celtic music and tunes, traditional Imbolc -inspired foods and taste the new releases.

Your thoughts on such matters as Education, Housing, Transportation, Tourism, Natural Resources and Economic Development, among others, are very much needed.
Plan to attend the Rappahannock community meeting to be held on Tuesday evening, Feb. 20 at the Rappahannock County Public Library from 7 to 9 p.m., together with two follow-up regional forums scheduled for April and May. The five-county region is at a turning point as we enter the 21st century. Come and let your voice be heard.

Coffee Shop to celebrate
National Specialty Coffee Week celebrates the love of coffee and all things related to it Feb. 12-19. Central Coffee Roasters in Sperryville will be holding coffee cuppings on Feb. 17 and 18. Fruit School scheduled
The Madison-Rappahannock Area Fruit School will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15 at Graves’ Mountain Lodge. The program sponsored in part by the Virginia Cooperative Extehsion will begin registration at 8:15 a.m. with the first event to begin at 8:45. Various speakers will highlight the morning session, followed by lunch and adjournment at 1:30 p.m. For additional information call the Rappahannock office at 675-3619.
