ft ft On Monday H.S. Barksdale, Herbert Foster, Andrew Williams and Emory Russell toured the Aileen Knitwear Mill in Strasburg. They were very much impressed with the operations there. After talking with a plant representative they feel that the next Aileen plant will be located in Rappahannock as the company continues to expand. Just when a new plant will be opened is not yet known. The 4-H Club Tractor Maintenance project will have the first of a series of five meetings at Russell Brother’s Garage in Flint Hill on Feb. 28. Leaders for the project will be Wallace Russell, Raymond Sutphin and Eddie Sutphin. The 4-H Tractor program is designed to teach young men to be safe and intelligent machine operators. They are given the opportunity by the “learn by doing” process to properly operate and maintain tractors and other farm machines. The project should be a natural for all farm boys in the county. For the second time this season, Rappahannock Panthers defeated the Marshall basketball team by one point with a score of 35 to 34. The game was played on the Marshall court Tuesday night with tension high and spectators excited. For such a close contest, the good sportsmanship of everyone concerned was noticeably outstanding.
