Headwaters representative Rosa Crocker reported that the Headwaters board recently met and completed an evaluation process in preparation for an upcoming board retreat; made recommendations for new board members; received a report from the mini-grant committee; voted to support the children s' song album (Tidal Wave of Song) production efforts of Paul Reisler and associates; voted to support the Starfish mentoring program by hiring a part-time program coordinator; and voted unanimously to endorse the efforts of the Virginia Consortium for Adequate Resources for Education (Virginia CAREs).

Chairman Mills reported that Headwaters had asked that speak at their March meeting, and he agreed to do so. He also spoke of support for Virginia CAREs, and Board member Aileen Johnson moved to endorse a resolution of support for that organization, and that was unanimously approved by the Board.
