Board of the Rappahannock County Library after being involved since its establishment in 1963. As a member of the trustee board, Mrs. Lindstrom helped usher the red brick building through its transformation into one of Rappahannock’s showcases. Few communities with a population as small and scattered as Rappahannock’s can boast of a public library at all, much less one housed in so impressive a structure. Douglas Nichols and David Atkins, both of Flint Hill, will be honored for earning Boy Scouting’s highest accolade, the Eagle Award, at a recognition dinner next week in Winchester. For his community project, David Atkins organized a Bike-Rodeo at the elementary school and undertook the clean-up of the Baptist Church’s cemetery in Flint Hill. Doug Nichols took senior citizens on a fishing expedition and cleaned up and fenced the Willis Chapel grave site at Huntly. Both young men are currently in college. Both were members of Troop 36 in Flint hill. The Blue and Gold Banquet of the Amissville Scout Pack 50 was held Saturday evening in the social hall of the Amissville United Methodist Church. Scouts, their families and guests enjoyed a buffet dinner, award ceremony and musical entertainments. Scouts were Chris Moyles, Robbie Settle, Neil Curtis, Kinsey Thayer, Kevin Fifield, Rodney Ramey, Randy Ramey, Wayne Dodson and Sean Wayland.
