He has also written a historical chapter on the Marine Band for the book, “The Marines.” He has conducted adult-community bands on cruises that have taken him to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. This past summer’s highlight was a tour of Tuscany culminating with 4 concert in the Vatican for the Jubilee Year and an audience with Pope John Paul II. This summer’s venture is a 17 day tour of China which includes a five day trip through the three gorges.
